I just watched this again, and it is still amazing.


When Jerry (Colin Farrell) moves in next door to Charlie Brewster (Anton Yelchin) and his mom (Toni Collette) , they soon discover that he is a vampire.

Fright Night is a remake of the 1985 film of the same name.  After they discover that Jerry is a vampire, Charlie, his mom, and Charlie’s girlfriend Amy (Imogen Poots) head to Vegas to enlist the help of Peter Vincent (David Tennant), a stage magician in the vein of Criss Angel, whose whole shtick is the supernatural.

Directed by Craig Gillespie (Mr. Woodcock, Lars and the Real Girl) and written by Marti Noxon (Buffy the Vampire Slayer TV, Angel), Fright Night is a wonderful remake, and is done the way any remake should be.  It pays homage to the original while updating the basic story.  If you have seen the…
