While I am not sure where this tv special originated, it is certainly online now and worth a look. There is some new footage from the film and it is a behind the scenes documentary. If you are at all like me, any footage from the film is a godsend. I cannot wait for this film to open, one week from today. Have a look. It is worthwhile to have a watch, even with the longer running time.
Also coming down the chute is the first image from The Hobbit: There and Back Again, the third film of this trilogy. I know, the first film hasn’t even released yet, the second is a year away, and there is a photo from the third film which won’t open until July 18, 2014. But wait . . .who is that with the long blond locks? Yepper, that is Orlando Bloom reprising his role of Legolas. With him in the photo is Luke Evans, playing Bard the Bowman.
The third film reportedly serves as a bridge between the events of The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings trilogy, and from what I hear, a big chunk of it was taken from the appendices of The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King novel. Have a look at the photo below, which premiered at ew.com.
The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey open on December 14, 2012. That is just a week from today . . .
