Hugo Weaving joins Healing

Hugo Weaving as The Red SkullHealing, a film by Craig Monahan, which is described as:

Healing, a tale of redemption and the discovery of hope, centers on real-life prison inmate Viktor Khadem’s (Hany) last 18 months before release after serving a 16-year term. Khadem is sent to Won Wron, a low-security, pre-release prison farm, where Senior Officer Matt Perry (Weaving) has established a unique program to rehabilitate broken men by giving them the responsibility for the rehabilitation of injured game birds, such as eagles, falcons and owls.

The film will also star Don Hany and Xavier Samuel.

I am a big fan of Hugo Weaving, and have been ever since The Matrix.  He has also appeared in V for Vendetta, The Lord of the Rings trilogy, The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey,Captain America: The First Avenger, and Cloud Atlas, among many other films.  He is a phenomenal actor who tends to elevate everything he appears in.  For me, any casting news about Hugo Weaving is great news.  We don’t get enough of the man on screen.

The premise of the film also sounds intriguing.  What do you think?  Sound off below.

Thanks to THR for the heads up.
