Scene stealing actor Peter Dinklage, most famous for his role as Tyrion Lannister on HBO’s hit show Game of Thrones, is joining Bryan Singer’s X-Men: Days of Future Past in an as yet unspecified role. Bryan Singer took to Twitter to announce this via this tweet:
Dinklage is joining almost all of the returning actors from X-Men film franchise including X-Men: First Class actors Jennifer Lawrence (Mystique), Michael Fassbender (Magneto), James McAvoy (Professor X), and Nicholas Hoult (Beast), and X-Men and X2 actors Patrick Stewart (Professor X), Ian McKellen (Magneto), Hugh Jackman (Wolverine), Anna Paquin (Rogue), Ellen Page (Kitty Pryde), Shawn Ashmore (Iceman), and maybe, Alan Cumming (Nightcrawler). We’re still waiting on word for Famke Janssen (Jean Grey/Phoenix), James Marsden (Cyclops), and Halle Berry (Storm). That’s a pretty crowded cast . . .
X-Men: Days of Future Past is scheduled to open on July 18, 2014.
