In Memoriam: Roger Ebert

Roger EbertBorn Roger Joseph Ebert June 18, 1942 in Urbana, Illinois

Died: April 4, 2013 in Chicago, Illinois

Roger Ebert, the most well known film critic in history, has sadly passed away after a resurgence of cancer.

I can remember being a child and watching At the Movies with Gene Siskel and Roger Ebert.  Watching that show every week, religiously, led to my love of film.  While I never had the chance to meet the man, he is clearly one of my inspirations and directly involved in my life long live affair with film.  If not for Ebert, his show, and as I aged, his printed reviews, I would not be writing this website.  He will be dearly missed.  Let’s all send good vibes out to his family.

In honor of Roger, here are some links to his reviews of some of my favorite films.  Be sure to click through them and see what the master had to say.
