Schwarzenegger’s zombie flick ‘Maggie’ finds it’s Maggie

abigail-breslinSomehow I missed this story a few days ago, but better late than never, right?

Arnold Schwarzenegger’s zombie flick, Maggie, has added Abigail Breslin as the title character.  You will recognize her from Zombieland, so clearly she has some zombie experience.  The Hollywood Reporter had this to say about the plot:

The actress is in talks to star opposite Schwarzenegger in the zombie film Maggie, based on a Black List script from John Scott 3 about a father (Schwarzenegger) whose daughter, Maggie (Breslin), is infected by a walking-dead virus that has spread across the country.

Commercial director Henry Hobson will helm Maggie, and production will start in the fall.

I cannot tell you how excited I am for this film.  This will mark Schwarzenegger’s second foray into the horror genre, after the almost unwatchable End of Days.  I guess you classify that as a horror film, even though the film couldn’t decide what it wanted to be (read my scathing review here).

As more information comes out about Maggie, I will be sure to pass it along.  The concept has me completely fascinated and I am envisioning The Road, with zombies and Schwarzenegger . . .The geek minds flutters at the thought . . .
