In “who really cares” news comes word that there will be a fourth Narnia film based upon C. S. Lewis’ novel, The Silver Chair. THR is reporting that the C. S. Lewis Company has forged a deal with The Mark Gordon Company to produce the fourth chapter in the Narnia series. THR said this about the plot:
Set 50 years after the action of Dawn Treader, The Silver Chair is the first Narnia book without any of the Pevensie children — only their cousin Eustace carries over — allowing the franchise to continue with an entirely new cast.
So, I have seen The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe and was thoroughly underwhelmed. When it came to The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian, I watched it and was even more underwhelmed. I never did bother watching The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader. So, I can see not being terribly curious about this one. Of course, with a different cast and potentially darker story, I may find myself interested. Time will tell.
