In Memoriam: Tom Clancy

Died October 1, 2013.

Tom Clancy, respected author, has passed away at the age of 66.  No cause of death has been released.

The popular author, perhaps best known for creating the character of Jack Ryan, had dabbled in many forms of media, from movies to video games. The character of Jack Ryan has been played on the big screen by Alec Baldwin in The Hunt for Red October, Harrison Ford in Patriot Games and Clear and Present Danger, Ben Affleck in The Sum of all Fears, and soon by Chris Pine in Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit.

Popular video games have also borne his name, the most memorable being Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six series.  Let’s all send out good vibes to his family and let them know he won’t be forgotten.
